Marella Dream, Marella Celebration and Horizon Laid Up in Greece Awaiting Sale or Demolition

Cruise Ships Laid Up In Greece,

As first reported here unfortunately the future does not look bright for the Marella Celebration, Marella Dream and Horizon. The ships are tied up side my side with some floating oil refineries/drilling rigs and car ships. The Horizon and Marella Dream have ties back to New York having sailed from New York to Bermuda. The Horizon sailed from New York as the Horizon from Celebrity Cruises while the Marella Dream sailed from New York as the Homeric for Home Lines. The ships are reportedly sold for scrap and are most like awaiting for beach space in Aliaga Turkey for dismantling. Only time will tell.
