Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady left New York harbor on September 20, 2021 at approximately 11:15 AM. The Scarlet Lady is on her way to Bimini in the Bahamas with a small passenger base of media travel agents and other travel influential people. The Scarlet Lady departed in New York after being in the Big Apple for just under a week showcasing the ship to potential passengers, the media, and travel professionals.

It is suspected that the Scarlet Lady left pier 88 just after the arrival of the Norwegian Breakaway, due to Covid restrictions, social distancing and wanting to limit the number of passengers on the pier at any given time. Norwegian Cruise Line‘s Norwegian Breakaway had just arrived with a full complement of passengers and docked at the same pier about 15 minutes before the Scarlet Lady’s departure.

The Scarlet Lady, after visiting Bimini in the Bahamas, will begin regular sailings from Miami on Four and five day cruises to the Bahamas and Mexico in early October.
