Grand Cayman is located 480 miles south of Miami in the Western Caribbean.
The Cayman Islands consists of three Islands, Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and
Cayman Brac. Most cruise ships call at the port city of George town located on
the main island - Grand Cayman. Docking facilities at the port is very limited
and passengers are usually tendered into this Aquatic paradise.
The island is very wealthy with multi-international banks are based there or
have branches there. Shopping is available but pricey. The island is best known
for its excellent water sports and natural reefs. Visitors can enjoy snorkeling,
scuba diving, swimming, kayaking, wind-surfing, parasailing or renting a wave
runner. Horseback riding is available along the beaches. Grand Cayman is known
for its natural reefs which are ideal for submarine rides to view the aquatic
life and coral formations.
You can also choose to swim with the stingrays at Stingray City. This
snorkeling and scuba diving adventure allow you to see, close up the behavior
and feeding of these wonderful creatures.
Know for it excellent beaches, Seven Miles Beach is not to be missed with its
fine beige sand and clear, blue sea. It should be noted that although the
majority of bathers wore bathing suits, there were a few topless sunbathers.

The Turtle Farm which is home to 16,000 live sea turtles weighing as
little as 6 ounces all the way to 600 pounds. The Cayman Turtle Farm is the
world’s only commercial green sea turtle farm in the world.
The Pedro Saint James Historical Site where you can tour the plantation
great house which has been skillfully restored. The great house dates back to
1780.
The Queen Elizabeth II Bontanic Park, admire the Heritage and Floral
gardens.
Grand Cayman has is concerned about preserving the natural resources of the
country. There are strict rules around visiting their reefs and preserving their
natural beauty.
In addition, there is the Mastic Reserve which is the largest area of
untouched vegetation and forest on the island. The Mastic Reserve is the largest
example of the Caribbean’s dry subtropical forest. Here you can find rare
vegetation and wildlife and nature trails.
The island of Grand Cayman measures 76 square miles measuring 22 miles long
and averaging about 4 miles wide. Population of the island is 38,585 Caymanians.
