February 4, 2015 – Overshadowed by the introduction of the Quantum of the Seas and the anticipated arrival of the Anthem of the Seas, the summer season of Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas is pretty much going un-noticed - until now.
The Liberty of the Seas will be sailing from Fort Lauderdale on April 30th on a 4 day cruise to Cozumel. After completing that cruise, the ship will speed to New York (empty) arriving on May 6th, 2015. She will immediately begin her spring/summer/fall season from New York/Cape Liberty Bayonne, New Jersey.
On May 6th, the Liberty of the Seas embarks on a 10 Day Bermuda / Eastern Caribbean cruise. The Liberty of the Seas has a strong following and a great reputation among cruise enthusiasts. A larger/newer version of the long time New York favorite, the Explorer of the Seas, the Liberty of the Seas features many of the Royal Caribbean trademark amenities. The Liberty of the Seas has the Royal Promenade, Rock Climbing Wall, inline skating, flow-rider and more.
The Liberty of the Seas will sail a series of Caribbean, Bermuda and New England / Canada cruises before making way for Royal Caribbean's new Anthem of the Seas on November 1st. The November 1st Liberty of the Seas cruise is a repositioning sailing from Cape Liberty Bayonne to the Southern Caribbean and finally ending in Galveston, Texas.
The Liberty of the Seas is just under 1,112 feet long, and 186 feet wide. She carries 4,600 passengers double occupancy, and 1,360 crew, Her crusing spped is 21.6 knots and the Liberty of the Seas is registered in the Bahamas.
